UpdatesProject Update 3.06.07EXECUTIVE UPDATE Thanks to your active involvement and support the value and use of OLLEISN continues to increase. Over 25,000 inquiries are being made of the OLLEISN database each day. With this level of success, it is critical that we all do not lose our focus and forget the work that still needs to be done to ensure that OLLEISN continues to improve to meet the information needs of local law enforcement in Ohio. With this in mind, there are three items that I specifically want to bring to your attention: 1.We need you to contact your OLLEISN Certified RMS provider to request that they begin ASAP to enhance their OLLEISN software to comply with OLLEISN v.2.1 data requirements. (OLLEISN 2.1 includes additional data fields related to Field Interview Notes; Suspect, Victim and Witness Information; Property Types, such as drugs, jewelry, securities etc.; Search Warrants; Traffic Citations; Pawn Shop Transactions; Service Calls; Registered Offenders; Concealed Carry Permits and Firearm Registrations; Evidence; Biometric Data: Mug Shots, Fingerprints, Signatures; and Text Searches.) It is absolutely critical that you, a customer, request your RMS provider to do this or it will not happen in a timely manner. Although this request must made in the last update letter, it appears it has not happened. RMS providers have not been pressured by their customers to adopt the new OLLEISN enhancements. Please contact your RMS provider representative today and make this request. 2. In January each agency was sent a CD-ROM containing OLLEISN Roll Call training videos. Please be sure your agency takes advantage of this important training tool so that your officers will understand how OLLEISN can help them to do their jobs more effectively and safely. 3. Share your OLLEISN and OHLEG success stories using the OLLEISN website: www.olleisn.org. Thank you again for your active involvement and support of OLLEISN. We need this to continue to accomplish the information sharing goals of Ohio local law enforcement. As always, please feel free to let us know any suggestions or ideas you have on how we can improve OLLEISN to better meet the needs of you and your officers. You can do this by emailing us at OHLEGsupport@ag.state.oh.us or by calling . |
